Thursday 10/12/17 Update:
Important Information for Saturday Procession of the Species Parade Participants!
Students must have a Minor Release Form signed to hand in on Parade Day to be allowed to march in the parade!
Forms have been handed out in class. If you need to print one to bring with you, download a form from the Procession of the Species website directly, print and bring on Saturday.

All 4-H members will either march or assist in Pteranodon float/costume construction.

Welcome to the Manatee Academy 4-H Club!
Vet Prep students in Mrs. Friend's 7th and 8th grade classes join together as 4-H members to participate in fundraising and community service projects throughout the year.
Being part of the Manatee Academy 4-H allows you to:
- Attend afterschool meetings from 3:15 to 4:15 in the Vet Lab 9-102 every other week.
- Organize and help run school fundraisers.
- Work as a team to plan and vote on ideas for future activities
- Show animal projects in the SLC Fair to compete for prizes (optional)
- Practice leadership skills as an officer, such as President,Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Historian or Reporter
- Raise money and use it for an end of the year field trip.
- Help animals by organizing collections for shelter supplies throughout the school.
Our meetings will be two Mondays each month, from September through May 2017/2018.
Our new President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Historians and Reporter will do a fantastic job running our events and meetings this year!

Tuesday May 31, 2016 Busch Gardens Tampa Trip!
Important updates below:
*Students have already submitted all required permission forms, just bring $10.00 to contribute to transportation.
*Student fundraising has enabled the club to pay for student tickets to Busch Gardens!
*Meet at Manatee Academy Room 9-102 (gym front doors) by 7:45 (New time!!)
*Mr. and Mrs. Friend will be driving 2 passenger vans which cannot be picked up until 7:30 AM. As soon as we arrive at Manatee we will board the vans and drive to Tampa.
